Chantal Sarmanoukian

Chantal Sarmanoukian is the Head of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, with additional responsibility for Facilities and Security. She joined Gates MRI in June 2020 and leads the team responsible for managing supplier partnerships and external spend in support of the Gates MRI’s mission, operating model, and strategic priorities.

Chantal brings more than 30 years of experience in R&D and business operations, with leadership roles spanning clinical laboratories, clinical operations, clinical supply, travel, security, facilities management, and strategic sourcing and procurement. Her deep experience covers research and development, commercial, and general and administrative categories as well as transformative initiatives across startup, small, large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Bristol Myers Squibb, Shire, now part of Takeda, and AMAG PharmaceuticaIs. Chantal holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a BA in Biology from Rutgers University.
